I'm scared.. I don't know what to think anymore. It's only been 3 months since I graduated but I really want to work na!! I am applying for a channel editor position at yehey.com but it seems that the big boss doesn't like me for reasons I do not know. My first interview with them was with 2 channel editors and I seem to have left a mark, that's why I was called for a 2nd interview with the big boss, right? My 2nd interview seems fine.. He didn't even ask me anything about the position offered to me.. He just asked me about the stuff I put in my resume and I think I answered everything ok and sincerely. Anlabo! I hope I'd get a call from them soon, and I hope it's because they are hiring me. *sigh* I really believe I'm fit for the position. Please God help me!

Yehey is perfect in every possible way. It's an IT company; it's in Ortigas Center, more so in front of The Podium; the position fits me; it's not a call center (no offense to call center peeps); it's a 9-6 job -- flexitime actually, which is so much better; and the pay is ok (I'm not sure of the exact figure but since it's not lower than 10K it means that it's good and sufficient for a palamunin like me) . To top it all, I didn't even know of the opening. I just went to Discovery Suites to drop off my resume and remembered, when I about to leave, that Yehey is in the same building. So I asked the guard what floor it's located, went there and left my resume. Then, the guy who interviewed me told me to come back the next day for the interview. I was so thrilled. I mean, I have been submitting my resume to a lot of companies, and Yehey responded quickly. And so I thought, and still think, that God wants me there. But why oh why do I feel that Mr. Big Boss did not like me????

Please Lord, hear my prayer...

Nothing to wear

My boyfriend asked me to come with him to his cousin's birthday party this Saturday. He told me that the theme of the party is the eighties but I don't have to follow it. But, I still need to wear something nice and semi-formal 'cause it's dinner time. And this is where my dilemma comes in. I don't have anything to wear!!! I haven't been going out for like... hmm.. I don't even know na.. I used to go out on gimmicks when I was in High School but when I entered College, my block's trip is different. They prefer house parties and inuman. It was a good thing though 'cause my dad's really strict. At least I haven't been grounded for a loong time now. And another good thing is that my boyfriend is not the type who loves gimmicks! He prefers chilling out at a friends place, listening to music, and drinking. So there.. I haven't been going out so naturally, I don't have gimmick clothes. We have a dress code in school, meaning, no sleeveless and mini skirts. So, my wardrobe basically consists of plain cotton tees and jeans. I have a few tanks that I bought before... it's a really good think that I'm into classics... so the tank tops that I used to wear 4 years ago, I could still wear now! But, I still don't know what to wear!!! I have a nice red blouse that my mom bought recently but my boyfriend doesn't want me to wear red!! ARgh!! He wants me to wear black but my black tops are mostly tank tops that are not too formal.. Daym! I sent him some MMS pictures of the tops that I'm thinking of wearing but he still hasn't chosen. He keeps on telling me to find something else. Haayyy.. I'm thinking of buying one tomorrow but I can't hitch a ride with my dad cause he's leaving early... So I guess I'm stuck with my black tank, red blouse, or yellow green venus top. I hope my boyfriend gets to choose something na...

Holding Hands?

I chanced upon this quiz while I was blog hopping. Holding hands lang?? :) haha! But I agree that I like to be in constant physical contact with my special someone. I can't get enough of him!

hand holding - you like to be in constant physical
contact with your special someone but you don't
want to take things too quickly.

What Sign of Affection Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Bookworm??

Got it here while I was blog hopping... :)

Bookworm...

Rules:
1. And I still can't believe JK killed him... :,( Harry wasn't even able to use the 2-way mirror... waahh!! There are technicalities showing that Sirius "might" not have died such as the "sparks" that hit him 'cause the Avada Kedavra has green sparks whereas the color of sparks that hit Sirius wasn't mentioned. I hope the veil can be used. I hope Hary can still talk to Sirius... :,(

And now, I can't wait for the next installment Harry Potter and the Half Blooded Prince. *sigh* Harry Potter is now a part of my life. I commend JK Rowling for her awesome story-telling. Harry Potter got me to read when I wasn't a book worm at all.

Taray Queen

I feel so liberated! haha! I don't think liberated is the right word but what the hell! hehe! I've never been mataray to people other than my siblings. I've always been courteous when answering phone calls. However, when our creditors started harassing us, I had to be assertive and cautious. I thought all of our credit cards have already been paid so I thought it's no longer scary to answer the telephone. You see, creditors have their own style of squeezing out information from the one they are talking to. See, when they call you up, they look for you using your first name (feeling friend), then they give you their first name also. It's not the usual, "May I speak to Mr. Juan de la Cruz" but "May I speak to Juan, this is Eric" So here you are thinking the caller's just a friend of your dad or something. Then there's this one time when my younger sister answered the phone and the creditor was like "This is the post office and you have a package that will be delivered to your house, what is your home address?" My sister was rattled and didn't know what to do.. So, without thinking that it could be our creditors, she gave the address of our grandma. My dad went ballistic and my uncle, the one living in my grandma's house, was furious because he was harassed by the creditor the next day. I think this is the last credit card that is unpaid, partly because my dad is furious at the creditor from their bank who has been caling us and the bank also does not want to negotiate. Gosh, even the multinational banks like Citibank are very courteous and has been accomodating my dad's requests.

Well anyway, so I thought I can already answer the phone knowing that I wouldn't be harassed and all that. But a while ago, to my shock, a girl called up and was looking for my mom.

Caller: "May I please speak to [mom's first name]<mom's> "
Me: "She's not home, may I know who's calling please?"
Caller: "[her first name]<her>. Sino to?"
Me: "Sino to? Saan to?" => I'm starting to have a tone already here.
Caller: "Si [her first name].<firstname> Sino to? Anak nya ba to?"
Me: "Oo, sino to? (with an irritated tone) SAAN BA TO? E BAKIT MO GUSTO MALAMAN PANGALAN KO? (very irritated now)"
Caller: "Ah, sa [bank's name]
, for record purpose lang"
Me: "OO ANAK NYA TO AND HINDI MO NA KAILANGAN MALAMAN ANG PANGALAN KO!"

Then I hung up while she was still speaking. I know I lost my manners but WTF! She has no right to ask for my name, I don't even know her! She has no right introduce herself like she's a friend or something. Gaga pala sya eh! E bat ko bibigay pangalan ko e hindi ko naman sya kilala! Well I think that suits her well. To hell with her!

After that incident, I have this light feeling. I don't know why. It's a liberating experience. I can't see myself doing that to someone, but I did! And I feel good about it! :D

jealous no more

I was reading about my post about being jealous and all. It somehow made me realize that my thinking is so wrong. I guess this is the nice thing about blogging... You get to read your previous posts, contemplate about it, learn something new about yourself, know that you have to change it, change it, then move on! When I read it, I had this urge to delete it. What was I thinking? It was really so unhealthy to be living in jealousy and fear. I now realize that I can't keep on thinking that my boyfriend's going to cheat on me. I know I just have to always bear in mind that my boyfriend loves me as much as I love him. I have 3 pastas overdue since I was in highschool and I never came back. However, I have this 1 molar that has been giving me a problem since 1st year college. I bit something hard and all these infections happened to it. To make the story short, I went to the dentist yesterday. She told me that I need pasta, cleaning, braces, and extraction. She said she needed to extract the infected molar because it will just get worse. The idea's ok with me cause I am really getting irritated with that molar. It keeps on aching. But, I was also scared of the idea of extraction. It was my first time and I was alone. Dad left me and mom wasn't able to come because she was not ready when dad came to pick me up. So there I was having my first extraction without company. But it was ok, honestly. It didn't hurt. The injection was not painful. The actual extraction happened fast. The dentist's assistant was holding my head while the dentist pulled. It was pretty much ok and I thank God it didn't hurt. The blood was scary though cause it didn't stop bleeding til this morning, so I had to keep on changing the cotton. I'm going back to the dentist next week for my pasta. I'm scared. Pasta has always been painful. I guess I'll just have to pray again and ask God to send his angels to watch over me. :)

Hay Life....

Here I am trying to be the less jealous girlfriend. I used to be a jealous girlfriend. Well.. I still am, but I'm trying to fight it. When I think about it, it all stems to possessiveness and selfishness. I want my boyfriend all to myself. I don't want him talking or having fun with other girls. I also think that it's also because he's a also jealous boyfriend. When our relationship was still on its first year, I wasn't allowed to text guys or be with guys. It was always an issue. So, I think I also got it from him. He may not be that jealous now... but I think it's also because I don't give him any reason to be. I am so aloof with guys; I don't talk to guys; I don't hang out with guys; I don't interact with them. And whenever a guy tries to talk to me or something, I get this scared feeling and start thinking of ways to shoo him or end the conversation. I just want peace. And I want him to do the same. I know it's not healthy and that's the reason why I am trying to change. But it's hard.. really.. Especially if I still stop myself from having guy friends. *sigh*

Survey thing

I answered a survey I found in my email while I was cleaning it up... Once again, this entry is about looking for a job and being unemployed... I just found out last Monday that I wasn't accepted at Accenture... I expected it though.. My second interview was really bad and I already faxed my transcript so I somehow knew that I won't get accepted. I was still hoping for the unexpected though... I found out when I checked my email in an Internet Cafe in Eastwood Cybermall. See, my modem's fucked up so I couldn't connect to the Internet. Upon reading their email, I was just OK with it. The only thing that I was worried about is what my parents would tell me. I know my dad will be disapointed. I also don't know how to handle rejection.. Really.. That's why I am glad that I am a girl. Well, maybe God has something better planned for me. Accenture seems to be a good company, but if it is not for me, then I know there is something better out there. I just hope that it comes soon... coz my parents are kinda nagging me to find a job already.. *sigh*

50 First Dates

I'm so loving this movie! I was really intrigued when I first heard of it. The title seems to be so romantic; to treat everyday as your first date; whoa, it's just every girl's dream! I've been wanting to see it when it was in the cinemas but unfortunately I wasn't able to.. so, I patiently waited for the DVD and I wasn't dissapointed! Firstly, the story is unique. Adam Sandler is Henry Roth, a happy-go-lucky bachelor who works in an aquarium in Hawaii, afraid of commitments, and hopping from one one-night-stand to another. Then, he meets Lucy (Drew Barrymore) in a diner and became so smitten by her. Little did he know that Lucy is suffering from the loss of a short-term memory due to an accident, which means, she lives each day as if it was October 13, the day of her accident. Anything that happens that day will be forgotten the next day. Henry does everything just to get Lucy to notice him and talk to him until he reached the point when they are actually dating (with the help of a VHS tape that Lucy watches every morning showing to her what really happened to her). The conflict arises when Lucy breaks up with Henry because she knows that there is no future for them and she doesn't want to hold Henry back from living his dream. But of course, like all love stories, they got back together. I was thinking halfway through the film that Lucy might regain her memory. But, no! The movie ended with Lucy waking up, watching the video of Henry, and seeing them get married. And when she went out, she saw that she was in Henry's boat, with the backdrop of the snowy landscapes of Alaska, seeing her husband Henry Roth and her daughter for the first time. The movie is perfect. The plot is very unique, the ending is unpredictable and untypical. The characters really gel well, and their chemistry is just perfect. There are really teary moments and of course funny moments with the help of Ula (Rob Shneider), Henry's sidekick. Even the soundtrack is so cute! All in all it was perfect. I even watched it for the second time and I was still laughing and crying and gawd, it was really perfect. It's the best and my favorite romantic comedy so far. :)

Bored to death

Once again I am here in the office, surfing the internet. I am not in the mood to go to my boss and ask for something to do. In the first place, I don't have a computer anymore. The one who replaced me has already taken over my computer; but since she's at our boss's desk right now, I'm using the computer. I don't know why I feel depressed. I just feel so out of place here. Good thing I still have allowance. It's the only thing that makes me happy now. Hope I could see my boyfriend later.. I really hope... :)

Almost Unemployed

Here I am sitting on my desk.. It's my last week here in the office as an Office Trainee for my Internship. I just graduated last Saturday but my boss requested my partner and I to come back after graduation. Naturally, though with much hesitation, we obliged to his request, thinking that there still might be a chance for us to be absorbed in the company. However, much to our dismay, our boss has already found a replacement, which means that our services are no longer needed, be it as an OJT, and definitely as a regular employee. But, since our boss has a lot to do, he still needs us to help his new OJT, so.. i'm here!

As of the moment, I'm so bored, tired, even if I just got in the office.. I don't know why.. Maybe it's because the reality that I am almost unemployed is slowly taking over me. I talked to some of my smart-achiever-type batchmates, and they told me that they are having a hard time finding a 9-5 job; which means that call centers is the only option left for us fresh graduates.

I have nothing against people working at a call center, and I don't want to judge them. The reason why I do not want to work in a call center is this... My dad paid almost Php 500,000 for my tuition fee; so I don't want to waste the money he spent on my education. See, even undergraduates get accepted at call centers, and if that was my chosen career path when I entered college, I should have chosen to study at a cheaper school. It's just my opinion! I think I'll end up at a call center, anyway!
